Successful mix of genres at the Château

The Château de Duras is one of the most beautiful castles in the Lot-et-Garonne. Its architecture oscillates elegantly and harmoniously between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The view from the castle over the surrounding countryside is splendid. Choose a nice day and a time to visit in the morning or at the end of the day for a nice highlight. For show lovers, during the school holidays, falconry and chivalry demonstrations take place, another great opportunity to take quality shots. And of course, the Château itself is worth a photo, its exteriors and its beautifully decorated rooms, right up to the 4th floor framework.

Line of sight on the Pont de Barbaste

Barbaste is a village steeped in history. "Le Moulin des Tours" is also called "Moulin Henri IV" because of its proximity to Nérac, the birthplace of this famous King of France and Navarre. It is also said that Henri IV, in his youth, signed “Henri, miller of Barbaste”… The Pont de Barbaste is a work of art of Romanesque style architecture, with its 10 arches! At the end of the bridge, you can visit the fortified mill, with its 4 square towers. A walk also invites you to discover the banks of the Gélise.

Height taken on the rocky needle of Bonaguil

Bonaguil means the "good needle", since it is placed on a rocky outcrop called a "rocky needle". This perched village is best known for its superb 15th century castle. What surprises the visitor is that its architecture is typically medieval, whereas the Renaissance period did not really lend itself to it. Then it was in the 18th century that it was finally remodeled with more comfort. It is therefore an astonishing mixture of genres, which offers you interesting architectural photos!

It flows naturally to Allemans-du-Dropt

Visit the village of Allemans-du-Dropt. Don't forget to enter inside the church and put on some coins to light up the beautiful fresco. Allemand-du-Dropt is particularly pleasant in spring, when the flowers bombard with color around the edge of the old bridge, along the banks. It's bucolic!

The good idea: How about going on a Tèrra Aventura in Allemans-du-Dropt?

Dizzying photo at the foot of the Château de Cuzorn

Cuzorn Castle is erected directly above a very jagged cliff. We even wonder how it could have been built and held on this rocky outcrop. It dominates the Valley of Lémance.
