The Alose Spawning Nature Reserve at Le Passage d'Agend bears the name of the fish it protects. Shad is a migratory fish, victim of overfishing. The breeding sites are now under protection for its survival, as well as the entire surrounding ecosystem. The Garonne is a very important spawning area for the species and especially in the agglomeration of Agen, the municipality of Passage. Educational activities are organized, especially for school children. The banks of the Garonne offer beautiful walks on developed paths. You will also find a fitness trail and a playground.
