Musée du Foie Gras Museums in Frespech

Nestled in the heart of Lot-et-Garonne, the Foie Gras Museum — Ferme de Souleilles in Frespech is a complete immersion in the gastronomic heritage of the Southwest.

Housed in a traditional barn, this unique site traces 4,500 years of history, from force-feeding techniques observed in ancient Egypt to today's breeding methods. The visit allows you to observe the life of a working farm, from the ducklings' outdoor run to the processing workshops. The tour ends with a guided tasting of the farm's specialties (semi-cooked foie gras, dried duck breasts, confit), which are then offered for direct sale in their shop. During the summer season, the estate also comes alive with farmers' markets, cooking demonstrations and country meals.
