Since 1972, the La Taillade holiday village has been nestled there, in Lot et Garonne, in the heart of a forest of oaks and pines, located a few cables' lengths from the pretty spa town of Casteljaloux.

Make no mistake, this place is unique ; some even call it atypical. Indeed, since its inception, the holiday village has embodied a project forged from the values of social tourism and the social and solidarity economy. More than ever, its commitment to these values is unwavering!

At its inception, the Village project aimed to provide accessible holidays for families facing disability or social difficulties. Gradually, the village grew and became more professional, with the construction of additional accommodations and the diversification of its clientele. A temporary residence for senior citizens was established, and the holiday village began welcoming vacationers from all walks of life. At the Taillade site, "living together" is not a utopia; it is a reality in a peaceful atmosphere.

As the years passed, the holiday village gradually became an integral part of the local landscape, and today it is a key player in tourism in the Lot-et-Garonne region. At the same time, the holiday village evolved through the construction of leisure facilities and unique, comfortable accommodations. In place of the temporary residence for the elderly, a residential home was created to welcome people with mental disabilities.

To the delight of holidaymakers, a water play area is located on the site. Free and accessible to all, young and old can cool off and play freely in the water.

For the past two years, the holiday village has been reinventing itself. Remaining true to its values of sharing, solidarity, and respect for nature, it reaffirms its identity, its commitment to these values, and asserts its authenticity. Today, its project is deliberately geared towards and aimed at guaranteeing sustainable development that encompasses both respect for nature and human relationships.

The holiday village offers vacationers entertainment and activities that, in addition to the pleasure of creating and participating, are meaningful and thus constitute a true experience. For example, learning about organic gardening in the vegetable garden next to the flower garden, the daily care given to the animals in the mini-farm, the beauty workshop where everyone learns to make and use natural cosmetic products, a walk along the forest path "Along the Woods," discovering ephemeral land art installations, taking a break in the middle of the forest at the observation point designed to facilitate the discovery of local flora and fauna, contemplating the educational pond, exploring the paths by bicycle, learning to build a birdhouse during the woodworking workshops… taking the time to contemplate the forest… stopping for a coffee at the snack bar… enjoying the dance evenings and outdoor concerts…
