Built in the 13th century in just four years, the village has a regular plan that corresponds perfectly to that of the bastides.

A market hall of vast proportions and with a floor made of cob was built on the main square. The church, a real fortress, stands in the village. The church dates from the 13th century. Strolling through the narrow streets, you will discover half-timbered houses, corbelled and mullioned as well as old-fashioned enclosed gardens. Villeréal is a real Dolce Vita and transports us to a timeless atmosphere.
