Cycling in Lot-et-Gar ...
Do you want to discover Lot-et-Garonne by bike? This department is committed to soft mobility and slow tourism. Cycle paths and greenways have therefore been built there. In addition, it is located at the crossroads of several cycle routes. Whether you are a road bike or mountain bike enthusiast, there is something for all tastes and levels. So, we get on our bike and let's go!

The Lot Valley Cycle Route

The Lot Valley Cycle Route, referenced “ V86 ”, crosses the Lot-et-Garonne East or West, from around Fumel to Aiguillon. You therefore have more than 80 km of beautiful roads at your disposal to discover the Lot Valley by bike. It even continues to Cahors in the Lot, with an additional 80 km. It is planned that it will soon join the Canal des Deux Mers, on one side, and that it will extend to Lozère, on the other. Here are some points of interest on your route:

The good idea And for the return trip, why not take a trip on the water, thanks to Gabarres Fumeloises (fr).

The Dropt Valley Cycle Route

The Dropt Valley Cycle Route stretches from Duras to Monsempron-Libos, i.e. 97 km. You can extend it by the Véloroute de la Vallée du Lot or by the Canal des Deux Mers. The route is recent and some sections are still poorly signposted. Overall, this cycle route takes you mainly on small roads with little traffic, but you should be careful because it takes some departmental roads and in particular a dangerous road near Castillonnès. In the Dropt, we have selected the following visits for you, on your route:

    The Baïse cycle route

The “ V82 ” is the Véloroute de la Baïse. Its starting point is in Lavardac. It winds through the Albret, following the stream of the La Baïse river, to Moncrabeau, at the limit of the Gers. On the way, be sure to stop off to visit these interesting places:

The Canal des Deux Mers by bike

The Canal des Deux Mers connects the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and crosses the Lot-et-Garonne from Marmande to Agen. It is bordered by a green cycle path, on an old towpath. Being inaccessible to cars, it is a secure route. It is a famous walk and therefore quite busy. In fact, the track is perfectly maintained. It is a fairly flat, easy and family course. In addition, the surroundings are green and the setting is natural. Shaded by large trees and at the water's edge, the walk is particularly pleasant. Along the way, we advise you to make a detour through the following towns:

      The " Scandibérique "

The Scandibérique is a European cycle route, referenced " EV3 ", which follows the Ways of Santiago de Compostela from Norway to Spain. This is why it is nicknamed the “ Pilgrim Route ”. You can take it from Feugarolles to Saint-Pé-Saint-Simon, on the borders of Lot-et-Garonne, between Landes and Gers. On the way, stop at:
