The cellars of Marmandais, a tasting not to be missed

Discover, appreciate, visit: these three words perfectly define these winemakers, passionate about their region and their craft. Authenticity, respect, and tradition are what drive the 80 winemakers and 43 employees who work across 1,000 hectares of vineyards to delight your palate. Founded in 2003, the La Cave du Marmandais cooperative showcases the unique character of the Marmandais region and its AOC designation, granted in 1990. Whether you prefer red, white, or rosé wines, you won't be able to resist the Abouriou grape variety, originating from Lot-et-Garonne, which imparts a silky smoothness and aromas of dark fruit to the region's red wines. Visit the shops in Beaupuy and Cocumont, or embark on a tour through the vineyards in a VW van—a unique experience that always ends with a glass in hand.

Throughout the year, the program changes with exhibitions of painters, sculptors, and photographers. Also dedicated to history, the museum boasts a rich collection tracing the city's history from antiquity to the present day. From a 4th-century Roman mosaic to famous 19th-century paintings, a visit is well worthwhile if you enjoy cultural sites. Come closer; the museum is shaded by three magnificent plane trees.
