Les Roches de Reculay Nature Reserves in Tonneins

In the Val de Garonne, in Tonneins, the Roches de Reculay is a rocky bar which obstructs the Garonne. Depending on the season and the depth of the river, the rocks are more or less flush with the surface. In the 19th century, a passage was created for boats navigating the river. Whether in the bypass pass or on the surf wave generated by the rocks, it is a training site for canoeing or kayaking, unique in France. It requires a good mastery of navigation and intense physical work. For walkers, it is also a permanent spectacle.
